Thought for the Week 10th February

Anglican Mothers Union Australia Sunday 10 February 2019 Power of Prayer

Prayer is a paradox. The more you do, the more you need to do and conversely, the little you do is tremendous. Whether you repeat a favourite prayer or make up a new one every day, it is immaterial to God who loves and cares, forgives and understands. God wants you to prayer and therein lies its power. The power does not lie in you: it is your obedience which is powerful. It changes you, matures you and works in you the love of God.

So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Luke 11:9-10

Beside running parenting programs, a membership drive was held in remote and hard to reach parts of Argentina. It helped to spread the message of MU and Love of God to non-members as well as recruiting new ones – from 50 to an incredible 800 in just one year. The power of prayer!
