Reflections 11 August 2019

Genuine faith in God shows itself in actions as all today’s readings suggest – like helping people in their needs and (like Abraham) following through on what we understand God wants us to do in our lives. When we centre our lives on God as our ‘master’, and seek to live by that faith in generous love towards others in their needs, ‘it is (our) Father’s good pleasure to give (us) the kingdom’ – to enjoy life in relationship with God now, and on beyond the grave.

Pray that you will always be mindful that you are accountable to God for all your actions and how you use your resources.

Give thanks for the Church of Bangladesh, remembering especially today their ministry in a predominantly non-Christian context.
